Question by Raggedyanne: Why did the home pregnancy test not work?
I am currently 7.5 months pregnant. I have had three ultrasounds and there is definitely a baby in there. At the beginning of my pregnancy though, the home pregnancy tests never gave me a positive. Even the urine test that the doctor did came back negative. I only ever got a positive from a blood test. I was just wondering why this might happen. Why didn’t it work for me?
I know they aren’t 100% accurate. I was just wondering why. What makes them less accurate?

DUH that’s why they do blood tests, urine tests aren’t 100% accurate.

Your hormone levels might not have been high enough. The test they use at the doctor’s are the same as the dollar store ones, so maybe it was not able to detect the hormone well enough.
That is the only reason I can think of. Congratulations on your pregnancy.
