Question by michelle j: What are the chances three at home pregnancy tests are wrong?
I’ve only been off the pill 10 weeks and I think I might be pregnant. My period is 5 days late, my boobs hurt, and I’ve had three positive pregnancy tests over the past 4 days. I did each test on a different day. It feels too good to be true so I’m worried. What are the chances that three tests would be wrong?

There is only a teeny tiny chance of getting a false positive. You got 3 positives though. Looks like you’re pregnant!!! Congrats.

It’s very unlikely one pregnancy test would show a wrong positive, let alone 3. You are pregnant. Congratulations. (:
If you have had 3 positive pregnancy tests then you are pregnant. I know it can be hard to believe, but if you want even more reassurance then head into your doctor and get the blood test done.

I would wait a week and try again, periods can be late for awhile after you stop the pill, also your body changes and that could be the cause of your sore boobs. Now the question is if you think you are at least 10 weeks pregger you can go to a doctor or clinic to get a test, also, if you got off the pill u can get preggers right away if you did not use another form of protection. I would say 3 tests positive would mean it is positive….
Rarely if possible will you ever get a false positive. You’re pregnant.

You are pregnant. A positive is a positive. A negative could still be a positive.

You’re pregnant. I took seven tests and still couldn’t believe it. My doctor didn’t even do a test at her office because she said there’s pretty much no way that they could all be wrong.

You almost never get a false positive on a home test. False negatives sometimes, but not false positives. I would say congratulations!! Get a blood test to confirm, but it sounds like you are a new momma to me! Congrats!
