Do the more symptoms you have mean the better the chance of a positive pregnancy test?

Question by awm_2266: Do the more symptoms you have mean the better the chance of a positive pregnancy test?
Wondering if having more symptoms means you’re further along in your pregnancy and able to test positive even a few days before your missed period. I know some women don’t experience any symptoms in the first month or so but others have a lot. Has many of you who had a lot of symptoms in early pregnancy still tested negative close to the time of your missed period?

What should I do following a positive pregnancy test?

Question by joe: What should I do following a positive pregnancy test?
I am 2 days late starting my period. My husband and I are trying to conceive and so I have been anticipating a positive pregnancy test for 6 months now. I took a test friday night – the day before I was to start my period and it was positive. I took another one saturday and it was also positive. It is now sunday and I still haven’t started my period. It is not common that I am late. Should I call a doctor right away or should I wait a week or so? I feel like I found out really early.
