Can a home pregnancy test be positive at 4 weeks?

Question by TTC #1 w/ PCOS 13 months: Can a home pregnancy test be positive at 4 weeks?
I’m having a tough time waiting to take a hpt and I was wondering if anyone has been able to get a positive test result at 4 weeks. I plan on using either an Up & Up (Target brand) or First Response early pregnancy test. What type of test exactly would you recommend I use? What was the earliest anyone has gotten a positive result using the tests I mentioned before?

Question by Martha P: Are home pregnancy tests as accurate as the ones done at the Doctor’s office?
I’ve done home test before and they’ve come back negative (not pregnant) even though i come to find out later on that already like 3 months along. Has anyone else had the same problems with the home pregnancy tests?

Yes they are just as accurate. All urine tests are as accurate as the next. The doctor just buys them in bulk from the supplier.
