They stop troubling you as your body starts getting used to change in hormones and settles to the imminent body changes. A few temporary early signs of pregnancy are:

Missed periods or less bleeding at the onset of periods. The absence of periods during the duration of pregnancy is because now the uterine lining need not be shed but used for implantation of the embryo.

Lower abdominal cramps, which begin soon after the implantation of embryo, disappear within a week or two. Headaches caused by rising levels of hormones in the first few days of pregnancy too disappear once the body accepts the change in hormonal levels.

Pregnancy Symptoms – First Signs of Pregnancy

Many women simply are too excited to wait 4 weeks for a pregnancy test to show 100% accurate results. Most over the counter pregnancy tests cost a lot and are not always 100% accurate. The only true accurate pregnancy test, as many know, is the blood test performed by your physician. Are you pregnant? What are the major and even the minor signs of pregnancy? This article will list the signs and symptoms of early pregnancy.

Here is a list of signs and symptoms of an early normal pregnancy. Please note this article is not intended to replace the advice of a licensed medical practitioner.

1. Swollen breasts. Many women do not notice if their breasts are swollen, unless there is tenderness involved. However, breasts can swell with no tenderness whatsoever. A very good way to measure swelling in the breasts is simply if your bra feels tighter, or if your breasts feel firmer.

2. Tenderness in either or both breasts or nipple tenderness.

3. Missed period / Late period. Although this is not a necessary indicator, as presumed by many. Sometimes, especially if you are on birth control, you will continue to have your period for up to 5 months while pregnant. They will be lighter and sometimes just spotting for a few days, however they can come at the same time every month.

4. Cramping, not associated with a heavy period.

5. Becoming nauseated easily. This does not have to be only during the morning hours. If you are pregnant, the main time is when you first get up, however you can also get nauseated by drinking water, before dinner if you have not eaten in a while and throughout the night.

6. Spotting. If you only spot during you next period for one or two days.

7. Mood Swings. Mood swings occur when hormone levels are imbalanced. Mood swings are always a very good indicator, especially if you have never had PMS or are not naturally a moody person.

8. Cravings. Yes, cravings and food desire starts very early in the pregnancy. If you notice you are craving more food or strange foods (i.e. foods you normally do not care for or do not eat), chances are you need to schedule an appointment with your physician.

9. Vaginal Discharge that is white and light yellow in color.

10. Increased or decreased sexual drive. Again, when hormones are imbalanced, sex drive can increase or decrease depending on hormone levels in your body.

If you have three or more of these symptoms, please consult your physician immediately for a pregnancy test and checkup. Also, the vitamins your doctor prescribes to you are very important for the health of you and your baby during pregnancy. If the vitamins make you feel sick to your stomach, simply take with milk, food or ask your doctor for a different type of vitamin.
