Question by Isabelle: How soon can I take a pregnancy test when on seasonique?
I missed about three days and then took them all at once on Sunday and then had sex a few hours later. The condom broke and I’m afraid I could be pregnant. I know I can stop taking the pill to see if I get my period but I’m afraid to stop. Does anyone know how soon I could take a pregnancy test?

Best answer:

Answer by ♥Sugar Bear♥ 28 weeks with a boy
Two weeks after the sex in question

  1. Goddess of Motherhood says:

You just have to wait the 4-5 weeks as anyone else. Although, if I were you I’d do the blood test in 3 weeks just so you don’t have to wait so long. The blood test detects pregnancy as early as 2-3 days after implantation or 8-9 days after fertilization.

I know this is an older post, but my gyno informed me last week after a stomach flu that seasonique can be taken in a certain way that acts as the morning after pill (such as Plan B). While I had the flu I was unable to take my birth control for 4 days. I was told to take two pills a day for two days until caught up and then within a week had sex and the condom failed. After talking to my doctor this was the information she gave: You can safely take 4 blue pills and then take 4 more 12 hours later. This must be done within 72 hours after the sexual incident, and the sooner it is taken the more effective it is. This high dosage will most likely make you nauseous (i was also prescribed an anti-nausea medicane but did not need it) but it is much more preferrable to an unwanted or unplanned pregnancy. It is completely safe from a medical standpoint, but as with the morning after pill it is not reccommended as a constant doseage. In other words, keep the necessity for this method to a minimum. Hope this helps you in the future or anyone else who may read this post :)
