Question by J C: How accurate are home pregnancy tests? Can you be pregnant and still test negative?
I am currently on the pill and very regular. I didn’t have a period last month so i tested and it came back negative. This month i missed again and tested and it came back negative again. Do you think it is possible even though the pregnancy test came back negative that i could really be pregnant?

Best answer:

Answer by Baby #1. 11 weeks along!
The reason why you could get a negative could be because you tested too early. Home pregnancy tests are very accurate. I got a positive 12 dpo. However, there are women who don’t get a positive until about 1 month after fertilization. It just depends in your body I guess. But they are accurate!!

Yes. Go get a blood test. My best friend tested negative on urine tests until she was 6 months pregnant but popped the blood test at 4 weeks

2 months? Probably not. By that time your hormone levels would be through the roof and a HPT would definitely be picking up on it.

You need to go see your doctor and they can give you medication to help you start your period.

Yes. not all tests are accurate. It depends on the HCG level. You could be pregnant and get a negative because it would be to early.
