Question by emilie: Do pregnancy tests work when your on the pill?
Firstly I dont think Im pregnant: Im just curious…
I know you can get pregnant on the pill (in that little 1% section) but do home pregnancy tests work while your on it or does the pill cancel it out?
Also just a quick Q for the ladies… If they released Male Pills would you trust your man on it or do you think he would always forget?

while no home test is ever 100% accurate (there’s always a chance of a false reading), they can work. I was pregnant and on the pill with no symptoms. Three weeks after I was supposed to start I took the test, which said I was pregnant, it was right but I was also going through a miscarriage. So if you’re taking the pill please find out for sure asap.
And yes I’d trust him..he doesn’t want kids either lol
Yes a test will work, pregnancy tests are looking for the hormone hCG.
hCG is not present in contraceptive pills.
I wouldn’t trust a man with male pills, no way. Having said that though, my husband is an OB/GYN and even he said himself it is going to be really difficult to produce a male pill, since sperm are produced 24/7. To get a pill to work it would have to be taken absolutely diligently every day at exactly the same time and without fail. Because of digestive issues (which are more common in men than women) an injection would work better.
