Digital Pregnancy Test

As soon as you conceieve, big changes are occuring with your hormones and body. The first change in your body is the production of a pregnancy hormore, human Chorionic Gonadotropin, or hCG for short. This can be detected in your urine and blood.

Over the next few weeks, your body will greatly increase its hCG production. Special markers will show up once the digital test completes its hormone calculations. (More information: Digital Pregnancy Test)

Advancements have enabled some at-home pregnancy tests to detect hCG five days before a missed period. Nearly all digital pregnancy test sticks on the market are about 99% accurate at detecting even the smallest amount of hCG hromone within a day of your expected period.

As everyone knows, going through a pregnancy and having a child is a big moment in your life. You can begin taking better care of yourself and your baby sooner, in the critical first stages of your baby’s development.

Please remember that every woman is different and the time it takes for the fertilized egg to implant in your uterus wall can vary. A popular misconception is that implantion happens seven days after conception, but the studies often find that first appearance of hCG (implantation) happened 5-14 days after ovulation, with 82% of the pregnancies implanting on days 7-12 after ovulation. If you don’t get a positive pregnancy test, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you are not pregnant. It could be that you ovulated later than you believed (meaning that conception and subsequent hCG production did not occur as when you anticipated) or that, for you, implantation took longer than the average.
