Question by Jessica B: Can you have a false Positive pregnancy test? And does it matter with a out of date Pregnancy test?
My friend took three pregnancy test.. The first two were negative and then the last one was positive….I told here with the way she has been feeling that it sounds that she would be pregnant but then she called me back and said the date on the box was Out of date….So would that make the negative and positive test wrong or is there still a good chance that the positive test was accurate?

i took two that were over the experation date by two years! they both were positive, and both were very ACCURATE! good luck.

I would just go to the doctor or a free pregnancy clinic that way you know for sure.
It’s hard to say. You aren’t suppose to take expired tests, but if two lines came up it may be accurate. It takes a while for the hormones to build up so if her last test was positive her levels may have not been high enough before. She should use first morning urine and test again. Don’t trust an expired test, but don’t discount it either. She needs another test.
If the box was out of date, her results can’t be relied on. Tell her to wait a week and then test with a NEW test. She should have a clear positive or negative by then.
