Question by Martha P: Are home pregnancy tests as accurate as the ones done at the Doctor‘s office?
I’ve done home test before and they‘ve come back negative (not pregnant) even though i come to find out later on that already like 3 months along. Has anyone else had the same problems with the home pregnancy tests?

Yes they are just as accurate. All urine tests are as accurate as the next. The doctor just buys them in bulk from the supplier.

No, that’s why they recommend you still consult a doctor.

Also, you may be taking the home tests too early.

Yes they are and sometimes home ones are a little more sensitive depending on what they are bulk buying at the time.

Generally, the test at the doctor can detect pregnancy earlier than the at home test. However, at 3 months, a home pregnancy test should not fail.
